The Intruder was developed as the US Navy's first all-weather carrier-based bomber. The A-6 was introduced in 1963 and began serving in actual operational units in 1965. Early model manufacture reached nearly 500 aircraft, with the early model broadly used in night-attack operations during the Vietnam War. This 1/72 scale Trumpeter kit with over 250 plastic parts authenticates the A-6E Intruder, waterslide decals & assembly instructions.
